Scoring-first: the Shot-Creating Guard path
If your instinct is to hunt your own shot off the dribble, the scoring-first path is the Shot-Creating Guard. Its budget concentrates on the attributes that generate self-created offense: ball handling, shooting, and the creation tools to separate. The honest cost: little left for defense, and a role that shrinks when teammates stop feeding you.
Playmaking-first: the organizer path
